I provide group supervision for practitioners who work directly with clients, or their carers/significant others, in the eating disorders sector.
The groups that I run are open to clinicians, educators, group facilitators, peer mentors, coaches, and other professionals who work with people experiencing eating disorders.
Group supervision is an excellent opportunity for practitioners to: explore cases, debrief situations, reflect on practice and values, develop new skills and understanding, explore current trends and research, learn from other professionals and pay attention to self-care and work-life balance.
My approach to professional supervision is based in a reflective approach to practice – in being conscious of what we are doing and why and how we can learn from these reflections and incorporate them into our work and life. My role is to provide facilitation and guidance to the group but to allow the group members to determine the agenda and what is discussed.
Do not hesitate to contact me if you would like to find out more about what groups I currently have running or if you would like to discuss the development of a group.

As a social worker I also have a strong interest in exploring how our values, both personal and professional, impact our work. I use a basic cognitive framework that explores thoughts, feelings, and behaviours and how this links to private feelings about our work and our professional behaviour.
My focus in supervision is to create collaborative spaces with professionals where they feel supported and safe to reflect, learn, challenge themselves and grow professionally. I do this but actively challenging the archaic notion of supervisor as ‘all knowing’ expert and supervisee as novice or apprentice.
The group will operate as an open group for the first few months and then once the group is established it will move to a close group. If you have any questions about this do not hesitate to contact me.

My focus in supervision is to create collaborative spaces with professionals where they feel supported and safe to reflect, learn, challenge themselves and grow professionally. I do this but actively challenging the archaic notion of supervisor as ‘all knowing’ expert and supervisee as novice or apprentice.
I am skilled at providing supervision to therapists (social workers, psychologists, counsellors, psychotherapists) youth and community workers, educators and other allied professionals working in the health, mental health, education, community development, lived experience and social justice areas. I am also able to provide professional supervision to workers in the arts sector.
I have a well-developed understanding of professional boundaries, reflective practice skills, and interpersonal communication skills - active listening, encouraging dialogue through curiosity, asking open questions and the ability to sit with discomfort and tension.
I provide both one-on-one supervision and group supervision.
-
I work with teams/groups of professionals and utilise their expertise to discuss, question, plan and make decisions about their work. I engage in processes that allow individuals to use reflective practice to develop reflexive practice in order to incorporate learnings into daily tangible actions, learnings and processes. The purpose of reflective practice is to work with the group to collectively see, understand and learn from an event, without judgement or criticism.
If you are interested in exploring reflective practice please contact me.

Over 1.1 million Australians are living with an eating disorder. Less than a third of those receive treatment or support.
There is no one factor that causes an eating disorder - they are complex and there are many contributing and complex factors that lead to the development of an eating disorder.
I have worked in the area of eating disorders for over six years but have been exposed to people dealing with eating disorders for all of professional life.
I am particularly interested in early discovery and intervention of eating disorders, assisting people to get the best treatment possible and working with people who have severe and enduring eating disorders and their careers and significant others.
Don’t hesitate to contact me if you would like to talk to me further about my knowledge of eating disorders and how I work.

Losing a loved one to suicide can be overwhelming and intense. Many people find it challenging and complex to manage and understand what has happened.
My training with grief, loss and trauma and my lived experience of the loss of a family member to suicide inform how I work in this area. It can be very helpful to speak with someone who has this expertise and who understands the complexity of the experience.
If you would like to discuss how I work and what my experience is in this area do not hesitate to contact me.
